Take part in a walk around Black Birch Vineyard led by permaculture expert, Felix Lufkin. Discover and identify what seasonal plants, flowers, mushrooms, and roots surround us and can be harvested and used on an everyday basis.
Felix works at a number of programs in the Valley teaching nature awareness and homestead skills, at public schools and workshops in the area. He was been sharing his passion for wild edible plants since 2005, with well known nature education organizations like Mass Audobon, the Vermont Wilderness School, Earthwork Programs, UMass Amherst and Hampshire College. He also directs Help Yourself, Inc, which plants community fruit trees in the Valley, free for all to harvest from. www.helpyourselfedibles.org
