What is 261 Fearless? It all began in the 1967 Boston Marathon when Kathrine Switzer fearlessly defied convention. Despite facing resistance from the race director for being a female in a 'men-only' race, she persevered, embracing her bib number, 261, and crossing the finish line. Through her indomitable spirit, she became the first woman to officially register and participate in this historic marathon, sparking a revolution in women's running.

Since then, Switzer has been a driving force in transforming women's running and remains a true game changer to this day. One of the remarkable contributions she has made is through the 261 Fearless education programs. These programs empower women, regardless of their professional or educational background, by providing them with valuable knowledge on women's running and health. Moreover, these programs develop their leadership skills and equip them with the business acumen necessary to effectively manage local nonprofits.
